Mumbai Court Sends BMW Hit-and-Run Accused Mihir Shah to Police Custody


 

In a significant development, the Sewri Court in Mumbai has ordered the police custody of Mihir Shah, the accused in the BMW hit-and-run case. Shah will remain in custody until July 16. Here are the key details:


Incident Recap:

  - Mihir Shah allegedly rammed his luxury car into a two-wheeler in Worli, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to her husband.


  - The deceased, Kaveri Nakhwa, was riding with her husband Pradip on Annie Besant Road when the accident occurred.


Escape and Arrest:

  - After the collision, Shah fled toward the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.


  - He left the car and his driver Bidawat near Kala Nagar in Bandra and absconded from the scene.


  - Mumbai Police arrested Shah from Virar after a nearly 60-hour statewide manhunt.
